Still using my E71 and somehow got this problem recently. Thanks for posting this and saving some time going through the unintuitive existing menus. Despite having already “upgraded” to an N8 I still keep this phone as a very useful standby.

My Blackberry got washed in the sea so I had to go back to my Nokia E71. COntact search stopped working and I spent hours trying to get it back. Thanks to you I have it again! You are a life saver.
